A long-time educator, Carl talks about the relationship between teaching, creating, and the importance of uplifting artists: “When we look at our history in hindsight, we will see it through the eyes of the artist.”
Carl's work is striking in the way he fuses his Cape Verdean culture and history into his artistic process. Among other honors, he's an NAACP of Cape Cod "Joe DaLuz Unsung Hero" for excellence in education.
